COOKIE POLICY

Cookies explained clearly.

This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on the Blio Tech website, their purposes, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: July 22, 2026 Blio Tech
Cookie management

Blio Tech uses cookies and related technologies to keep the website working properly, remember certain preferences and, when you consent, better understand how the site is used.

01

Clear purpose

Each cookie serves a defined role: technical operation, preferences, statistics or, where applicable, audience measurement.

02

Consent

Non-essential cookies are set only after you choose “Accept all” on the consent banner.

03

Control

You can change a saved acceptance via the “Manage consent” tab at the bottom of the page, or by adjusting your browser settings.

IN DETAIL

What you should know.

01

01 — DEFINITION

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored by your browser on your device when you visit a website. It may be sent back to the server on a later visit. Other technologies, such as local storage (localStorage), can play a similar role when remembering a preference.

02

02 — CATEGORIES

Types of cookies we use

Depending on the context, Blio Tech may rely on the following categories:

  • Technical or functional cookies: required for the website to work, for basic security, or to remember your consent choice.
  • Statistics cookies: help us understand website use in aggregate so we can improve the experience.
  • Measurement or tracking cookies: used only if you have consented and if such tools are enabled on the site.
03

03 — ON THIS SITE

Current Blio Tech practices

When you accept, the website stores that choice under the key blio_cookie_consent (cookie and/or local storage) so the banner is not shown on every visit. It also stores the language you consulted under the key blio_language, so a later visit can open in that language. On the mobile gateway, checking Remember my choice stores the business sector under blio_business_sector, blio_business_sector_name and blio_sector_remember, so the selection step can be skipped. Without that checkbox, the selected sector is kept for the current visit only. A rejection is not stored: the banner is shown again on each navigation or page refresh, and no language preference is kept in cookies. Server-side technical logs may also be retained for administration, security and service improvement, as described in our privacy policy.

No third-party advertising tools are enabled by default in the current version of the site. If non-essential measurement tools are added later, they will respect the recorded consent.

04

04 — CONSENT

Accept, reject or withdraw

A banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Acceptance is saved. Declining does not prevent browsing and is not remembered: the banner appears again on each page change or refresh. After accepting, you can reopen the panel via the “Manage consent” tab to update your preferences, or delete the blio_cookie_consent cookie or local entry.

05

05 — BROWSER

Additional controls

You can also block, limit or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling technical cookies entirely may affect some website functions. Resources such as youradchoices.ca can also help manage broader advertising preferences.

06

06 — RIGHTS

Your rights regarding data

Subject to applicable laws (including in Québec and Canada), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or withdraw consent where the law allows. To exercise these rights, contact the privacy officer listed below or review the privacy policy.
